A short biography of Bemmut Neferul (Neal)

(in second person)

You are Bemmut Neferul, adopted son of Father Heth Neferul.

You're an orphan who was left at the doorstep of the Grand Cathedral at
the Church of Lothian in Ptolus. You grew up there until you were 6,
adopted by then Brother Heth Neferul, and young man at that time who was
just an acolyte. When you were 6, Brother Heth Neferul could not take
care of you any more because he became promoted into the Pastor of the
Church of St. Thessina. So he sent you to Tarsis to enroll in theology
school in the hopes that you would become a Cleric.

At theology school, you discovered a love of healing, compassion, and
light. You became obsessed with religion, celestial beings, and
healing in practice. Noting both passion and aptitude, the school
fast-tracked you into the clerical profession. Over time, books,
praying, and clerical chores have slowly erased the thin,
self-conscious boy who waved goodbye to his adopted father twenty years
ago.

During the siege and sack of Tarsis, you went with Emperor Rehoboth's
train as a reserve healer. There, you gained adventure and battle
experience outside of school, and you realized that though you loved
the religious life, there was a part of you that longed to be free, to
wander the city again and perhaps even find trouble.

When the Emperor arrived in Ptolus, you had a choice--remain in the
direct service of the Emperor, or return to service at the Church of
Lothian. You opted to return, seeing an opportunity to give back to
the community which gave you so much. But, much time has passed, and
you are not the boy of before. You are getting restless, you miss the
adventure of the road and long for a challenge.
