Lothian's Sword

We have brought the construct into the safety of the main church. I only pray it's boundries are safer than my father's. And with that, we proceded into the inner warrens.

The odd Pact Lord group that scared us to wit earlier attempted to rend us again, but this time we were better prepared. Ignitz, rapidly proving himself to be one of the most competant allies I have, called us to hold position at a pair of double doors. Given our foes huge size, this proved to be their undoing: between the firey death raining upon them by our mage, a displaced paladin striking hard, and some divine luck when the Daykeeper saw fit to overcome the ogre and let him fall pray to a mind blast, we culled their numbers rapidly; the mindflayer and mage being the sole survivors of the encounter.

We then went further into the warrens, fighting what Damien called a "Will O Wisp". He claimed it could only be hurt by magic missiles, but Lucious's blade seemed to work just fine. Up some old stairs, and we were brought to a set of halls filled with statues: one of Dana's pegasus, Voastra [sp]; one of Estrata [sp]; and one of Dana himself. More interestingly, depsite the clearly ancient age of the area, there lived 4-armed creatures here, huge and deadly. We just barely managed to defend ourselves, as these beasts seemed to have an unnatural gift for tearing into Lucious and Deathsbank.

Large glass doors gated what I presume to be an airlock of sorts, leading into the tank of water above the octopus room. By this point, it was clear our team was exhausted and deseperately needed a break, Pact Lord threat notwithstanding.

Lothian has been enoked in our blade, and it's aim is straight into the inner warrens.
