Necropolis Ghoul Plague ended! Led by the paladin Sharah Nestor, a team of clerics from the Church of Lothian have succeeded in ending the plague of ghouls that have been roaming the Necropolis in the night. Nestor gave her life valiantly in the final battle against the Ghoul Master, an undead of evil power that was apparently planning to turn Ptolus into a city of ghouls!

"She fought like a woman possessed," said Moston Ferelurth, a cleric of Lothian who was part of the team. "I was knocked down by a posse of the Master's Minions, and I thought I was a goner when she cut down the Master Ghoul, but unfortunately not before his evil Spear penetrated her armor."

As befits a heroine, Nestor has been raised from the dead by the Church of Lothian, despite its recent financial troubles (see: Church of Lothian has trouble raising money for Grand Cathedral Repairs in July 22nd's Ptolus Times, and Unknown Benefactor finances Church Repair in August 3rd's Ptolus Times). She is currently enjoying a much needed period of meditation, rest, and recovery and could not be reached for comment.

In other stories, a party led by the cleric Bemmut Neferul also brought back a dead body to the Grand Cathedral. The body was identified to be that of a Gnome, who went by the mysterious name Igbot. Igbot was spotted at the bizarre incident involving a Dark Elf at Oldtown on November 17th. Rumors are that this party (possibly also sponsored by the Church) have found a way into the much rumored Banewarrens that supposedly lie below the city.
